(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자= 광주시는 청소년이 배우거나 활동하고 싶은 다양한 분야를 지역사회배움터에서 주도적으로 실천할 수 있도록 지원하는 ‘2023년 상반기 청소년 주도 프로젝트’ 참여자 150여 명을 모집한다.
시에 따르면 ‘청소년 주도 프로젝트’는 고등학생 또래 청소년들이 배우고 싶은 것을 학교와 학원이 아닌 창업공간, 미술관, 대학교 등 도시 곳곳에서 자기만의 방식과 속도로 배워나가는 주도성 강화 프로젝트다.
고교학점제에 대비해 지역사회 교육력을 높이고 지역연계 공동교육과정 및 학교 밖 교육 방안을 모색하기 위해 광주시와 교육청이 협력, 2020년부터 광주시청소년삶디자인센터에서 추진하고 있다.
올해 상반기는 28일부터 7월22일까지 총 15회(주 1회) 방과 후 과정으로 진행된다.
프로젝트는 ▲소설창작 ▲창업마케팅 ▲조경실습 ▲영화비평 ▲현대미술이해 ▲조류충돌조사 ▲베이킹 ▲역사콘텐츠제작 ▲전시기획 ▲패션윤리 ▲스포츠기획 등 14개의 사전선택형과 정해진 주제가 아닌 참여 청소년이 원하는 주제로 팀을 구성해 자율적으로 기획하고 실행하는 자율기획형 ‘제멋대로 프로젝트’ 등으로 나눠 운영된다.
이중 ‘소설창작’은 비대면 프로젝트로, 줌(ZOOM)을 활용해 온라인으로 진행된다.
각 프로젝트는 이강하미술관, 전남대 조경학과, 로컬콘텐츠창업공간, 코끼리협동조합, 시소센터, 동구청소년수련관, 청소년삶디자인센터 등 현장에서 전문길잡이의 도움을 받아 진행될 예정이다.
고교 재학생은 해당 과정을 이수하면 학교생활기록부에 활동 이력에 기재할 수 있다.
프로젝트 참여는 자신이 원하는 프로젝트를 기획하고 실행해보고 싶은 광주 거주 고등학생 또래 청소년(17~19세)이라면 누구나 지원할 수 있다.
접수는 21일까지 온라인에 사전 신청하면 된다. 지원서를 내려 받아 재학생의 경우 소속 학교 담당 선생님께 제출하면 되며, 그 외 청소년은 청소년삶디자인센터에 제출하면 된다.
김순옥 광주시 여성가족교육국장은 “민선8기 시정목표 중 하나가 ‘모두가 성장하는 교육도시’다”며 “청소년 주도 프로젝트 등 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 발굴·확대해 학교 안팎의 연계를 강화하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 ‘청소년 주도 프로젝트’는 2021년 한국청소년활동진흥원에서 청소년 핵심역량 강화 우수사례 공유를 위해 발간한 ‘미래 청소년 사업을 준비하는 민간·공공 프로젝트 운영사례’ 중 하나로 소개됐다.
